Let’s hear it for the bird

The administrator of this site, who is also my husband Orv, has been working hard to keep this site, which apparently still gets a lot of traffic, running smoothly.

He’s a brilliant individual, and I love him madly. Thanks, hon!

New content? Maybe

Something people seem to be eager to know: is the new look of the site an indication of new comics to come?

The answer is, not immediately, but it’s a possibility.

I do have artwork to share, and long-term I’ve got a serious urge to do some multipage, color Ozy and Millie stuff.

I don’t really know when that’ll happen, but it might end up looking a little something like this sample page I did a few months ago:

Technical note from the sysadmin

Hey, folks.  Just a note here from your system administrator.  I’m aware the site has been slow a lot lately.  I’ve made some changes to the web server configuration to better cope with some of the traffic spikes we’re seeing, so I think it should be quite a bit snappier now.  I’ll continue to keep an eye on the situation.

This is where Ozy and Millie live

This is where it all is: every “Ozy and Millie” strip, from the early stuff in the late 90s to the final strips in 2008, plus art, some of it actually new. Expect updates.

Future “Ozy and Millie” projects will also happen here.

So I’ve illustrated a picture book! Its co-author is young Maddox Lyons, a 12-year-old trans boy, and it’s about a little trans boy trying to be understood by his parents and the world. I think this is a wonderful project and I hope it opens some minds! It’s available to preorder now. Read more →
