And, if I remember my high school pay phones correctly (class of ’97) he is now 1 dime from being able to call home for a vest without Mystery Meat on it (not from what I’m sure is an excellent lunch his dad packed, from the trashcan)
Ya know, there are other ways to solve these problems – ones much more final than what the principal and teacher would have done if they had been doing their damn jobs. Call the police, get them involved. Jeremy might be in elementary school, but bullying is a very serious thing. Not to mention I’d love to see the principal try to explain his cloudy moral vision to a judge.
In 2015 maybe. Was that true in 1999?
No. It wasn’t. It wasn’t until a couple years ago that enough media coverage blew up around bullying for the police to even consider any form of school violence short of automatic weapons worth their time.
