Ozy, it’s not that much of an accomplishment. All things in life follow the laws of quantum mechanics, just primarily in much smaller manners than this example. However, take anything that measurement of would defy the continuity of, such as serenity or, to a lesser extent, silence, and you get large-scale quantum objects. See my upcoming paper to be zen-published by my zen-blog (In other words, I don’t want to publish).
Well, electrons don’t actually have discrete orbits, they have probability wave-functions (a range of values, non-integer) and four quantum numbers. Magnetic spin is plus or minus 1/2, a non-integer. What’s a quantum “score”? The principal quantum number, the energy and size of the wave function, roughly called ‘orbital’? Those are integers.
So the Phoebe and Her Unicorn Amazon storefront, with apparel, backpacks, bags, and cushions, is open! We still have shirts on Topatoco, too. Read more →
So I’ve illustrated a picture book! Its co-author is young Maddox Lyons, a 12-year-old trans boy, and it’s about a little trans boy trying to be understood by his parents and the world. I think this is a wonderful project and I hope it opens some minds! It’s available to preorder now. Read more →
If you’ve gotten fan mail back, it’s my fault. I failed to keep my PO box paid up, and I know some people got mail back. I’m really sorry! Feel free to send stuff along to the new address: Dana Simpson PO Box 6347 Santa Barbara, CA 93160-6347 Again, I’m really sorry for the inconvenience! […]
So the Today Show had Amazon.com list some summer reading books for young reluctant readers. I’m #8! I’m almost more excited that Breaking Cat News, by my friend Georgia Dunn, is #2. Go Georgia! Go kitties! Read more →
Why is Llewellyn not wearing pants, again?
He un-collected them some time ago, remember?

Well I give Ozy a 6.2
If it was true zen, shouldn’t the score card be blank? Quantification by a lack of quantification?
Shouldn’t a quantum score be integer? Since quantum is basically going from one level to another without passing through the intermediate levels?
