what kind of accent is Llewellyn supposed to have?
The thing about comics, books, and written material in general, is that you’re supposed to fill that in yourself.
Welsh, obviously. 🙂
I thought upperclass Euro-English
No self-respecting Celtic would ever have an English accent.
I always imagine him speaking in Anthony Hopkins’ voice. ( Hopkins is also Welsh )
Really, i thought the various bit of his back story made it perfectly clear he was British.
“British” isn’t an accent though. There’s Welsh, Scottish, at least two kinds of English, etc.
I hear the kind of voice that’s deep and gravelly, but still really comforting. Haven’t really put an accent to it though.
to be honest…
whenever he talks, i hear Morgan Freeman.
no idea why, but yeah, just the sweet, smooth molasses of Morgan Freeman.
Same name as the last prince of free Whales (Prydein), red dragon–is that his portrait on the flag? Maybe he was even in Merlin’s vision? Anyway, Welsh accents are great!
I always figured he would sounds like Sir Bedivere from Monty Python and the Hoy Grail
I think the font of Llewellyn’s voice is meant to represent archaic or obsolete English, since he is several centuries old.
Probably
