I love this series, but really… what little kid says “Goodness?” anymore.
Oh well, it’s your world so they can talk however you want : )
Wait… I just realized? Are they in public school or high school?
This comic takes place in the nineties, so go figure 😛
1. They’re in elementary school.
2. I said “goodness” when I was little (late ’90s to early 2000s). It’s good to see kids in fiction with expanded vocabularies.
His saying “Goodness” makes a lot more sense if you consider that he’s been raised by Llewellyn, who tends to speak in old dialect like that. 🙂
And frankly, it kinda fits his character anyway…
And this strip was originally drawn in 1998.
And just imagine the deliberately deadpan tone of voice.
Actually, I talked a little like that as a kid in the 60s.
Family isnt about where you came from, its the people who raised you that make you who you are.
