  1. Ah, the rebuttal for Pascal’s Wager. Or as Terry Pratchett said: “Upon his death, the philosopher in question found himself surrounded by a group of angry gods with clubs. The last thing he heard was ‘We’re going to show you how we deal with Mister Clever Dick around here…'”

    • I prefer Sir Terry’s observation regarding the afterlife: if there is no God, then we needn’t wait until after we’re dead to experience heaven; we can go ahead and create heaven right here on earth!

          • I share Averagemoe’s optimism on technology, my life is heavenly due to technological advancements in so many fields. It’s people who crave power who are ruining the planet for us. Bad politicians and religious leaders, greedy corporations, etc.
