There were *reasons* I preferred the stock market to commodities trading! 😛
You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those kid’s lemonade stands.
Unfortunately, such things are almost completely of the past. Setting up such a stand would require a lot of paperwork now. The person setting up the lemonade stand would need to;
>have cleared his location with city or county zoning laws
>have a food handling licence
>have a food distribution license
>have a business license
>submit to and pay for health inspections
>ensure that they are not using any product bought with government money (food stamps)
>maintain and submit a budget for the purpose of taxation
>avoid violation of child labor laws
among a host of other things. It’s really not worth the jail time and/or fines to sell lemonade on the street corner.
I know that’s happened once, but is it really a frequent obstacle?
