Foxes actually do loops, then walk exactly in their previous paw prints for a while and jump off at a convenient spot to make potential trackers continue in the loop. Awesome creativity. <3 Once I saw a fox and followed its tracks for an hour in a snowy forest and came across two such loops. It took awhile to find the exit paw prints. In Finnish we call these ketunkieppi.
Perhaps if he dyed his fur green, it would foil that strategy.
Wouldn’t Millie have the same problem? Oh, and considering his problem with baldness I would think Ozy should be very concerned about shedding season.
Maybe he can use the trail and back up to make a diversion?

Awesome! I’d never heard about that, thanks for sharing!
