Why is he wielding a weapon from Star Wars while wearing a Star Trek outfit?
Because, as Millie said, he’s a dork.
He really needs to be a dragon nerd. Just saying =)
In my mind, his shirt is red and his shorts are plaid
Plaid is a pattern, not a color. You might mean to say tartan.
Tartan is also a pattern, not a colour.
Someone who truly embodied Science-Fiction would have known better then to use the phrase “sci-fi”. 😛
All trufen know that “SF” is the proper term! ^_~
Fans sometimes pronounce “scifi” as “skiffy” instead of “sigh-figh”.
If he’s sci-fi then where’s the Dr. Who part of his outfit?
And Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. That cant be left out.
The best is Orion’s Arm.
Don’t forget your towel.
Both Star Wars and Star Trek are pretty close to fantasy actually. As is Doctor Who.
Not. Even. Close… Fantasy involves the use of “Magick” or “spells” to perform actions… Star Wars comes closest with the use of the “Force”, but Star Trek and even Dr. Who are quite firmly entrenched in the use of technology…
No references to H.G wells or Dune either, yet again, two things that can’t be left out as well.
His elbow disappears behind the light saber.
Well it would, wouldn’t it? Doesn’t the light saber have a solid rod that emits the light?
No one has mentioned Heinlein or Asimov or — am I the only true SF reader re-reading this version of the epic? Am I the only re-reader of this epic, now that it has appeared on at least one other platform, sans all our comments? Curios (somethings – – I’m dyslexic) want to know.
I’m re-reading.
Thank you, IT! (and it should be “curious” above)
