  1. The surprisingly philosophical question is, why do we mind? Why has it become a cultural dogma to judge based on degree of clothedness? (I’m not saying there’s an easy answer.)

  2. Because adult or near-females are required to be covered in ways cartoon animals aren’t, even in comics. And to be an intern, she’s at least upper high school…

  4. The exact reason the characters are wearing swimming outfits, is to convey the fact that they are at a pool. It has no correlation whatsoever with their worlds societal norms, but rather is supposed to reflect our own, as we are the viewer. In other words, it’s standard comic strip visual theory.
