  1. Bullies are drawn to kids who are more mature than normal – ones who are prone to approaching others as equals and using reason in their discussions.

    Unusually reasonable children draw a huge stinking target on their backs. Bullies know that they will not be punished for attacking such targets. The reasonable child will not strike back in kind, and will not be listened to by adults when they complain. Adults will perceive the victim as weird, disrespectful, and a source of trouble. The bully on the other hand is more adept at manipulating adults.
