There’s a writer on a fanfiction website that I spend a great deal of time on that wrote a series of short stories that read very much like the poem of Ozmandius called Lost Cities. Here’s the link if anyone is interested: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/102166/lost-cities
Lovely.
This strip and Watchmen are the reasons I enjoy “Ozymandias” so much.
The man who wrote that poem was married to Mary Shelly, author of Frankenstein, which was written as an entry in a scary story contest.
Ah, the wonders of free association.
Maybe next time they can try on a concrete garage floor …
The oil puddles add a certain quality to the art.
Haha, man. I always hated when this happened.
today there’d be smartphone pics left at least (and yes, I’m assuming Millie would still be going outside)
Ozy and Millie wasn’t caught off guard by the rain, they did the chalk art despite of the rainy forecast.
Rain can be unexpected. Maybe the forecast was something like 10% chance of rain and that chance came with a vengeance lol
This one always makes me cry, seeing Ozy’s head fallen on the sand, his eyes closed, with the feeling of immense loneliness that the words paint.
