“They” push you closer

I think ‘they’ is the designated hitter.
I like the way Millie and her mom have similar facial expressions in this one. Throughout the comic we see a lot of other things they share… a love of Mister Rogers, making sculptures from food…
She should give an example, like she did with Ozy.
Using the word “they” without previous definition is a lazy mental crutch. “John and Mary were siblings. They went to the same school.” is reasonable. But “they” do not hand out speeding tickets; traffic cops do. “They” do not make arbitrary rules; federal, state and local legislators do.
