Several of the Ultima computer games used a runic alphabet on their signs and you had to translate them to know what the signs said. Reply
Several fanfictions I really like created their own languages and some even went so far as to make dictionaries to explain the rules of said language. If anyone’s interested I can reply with examples. On a more serious note however, I have to side with Millie when it comes to similar situations on the internet. Reply
My guess is that the only qualification is the ability to not destroy the books.

Typo…I meant to type Hindi (the Devanagari writing).
