If reptiles don’t have navels, how do they recieve nutrients in the egg?
Uhh… osmosis?
Or photosynthesis through a translucent eggshell.
The yolk of an egg is the nutrients that, had the egg been fertilized, would have been absorbed by the developing embryo. No navels required for the process (yes, yes I am a nerd. History degree and raised by PhD holding scientist)
That is one family reunion I would like to crash (if I could survive).
