Given what he knows about her, it’s inevitable. Otherwise, she would have to kill him to keep him quiet. Or, I suppose, she could just take over the world so fast that the red tape of the courts can’t take her down.
Though given the tone of the past strips with their parents, Millie perhaps wasn’t paying much attention if she thinks this deciding they’re in love thing is *sudden*.
The right to remain silent applies to your own arrest.
The 5th amendment allows you to refuse answering a question that would incriminate yourself.
You can be held in contempt for refusing to answer a question that would incriminate someone else.
And not all states allow spouses an “out”.
Well, that may be true, about spouses testifying and such, but the 5th Amendment does say that a “wife” can’t be “forced” to testify against her husband in a criminal trial. If she so wishes, she is allowed to do so. (Of course, with the interpretation of the Constitution nowadays, there’s no telling how the 5th Amendment would be interpreted by the Supreme Court.)
True, but it’s pretty much always her idea, and his participation isn’t always voluntary. Prosecutors might be willing to offer him immunity, so the 5A wouldn’t apply.
Hmm. Ozy and Millie getting married one day. I’ve been saying that for a LONG time. Perhaps Dana might consider doing a short special set of strips showing this.
They’re still children. Once they’re a little older and the hormones start to kick in, things could change. Not saying they would or should, just pointing out the possibility.

Great reaction, Ozy.

If having the right to remain silent means what it actually does, Ozy could get out of testifying anyway.

There’s nothing about spousal privilege in the 5A, although it is firmly established in American case law.
considering how often Ozy is involved in Millie’s shenanigans, Ozxy might actualyl get 5th amendment protection.

Let’s start a petition for her.
Honestly, I always saw Ozy and Millie relationship as a brother-sister thing. I’m definitely not a fan of the idea of them together romantically.
Finally! I so agree.
