  1. Some of the most convincing arguments I’ve heard from politicians are nothing more then strings of random political buzzwords, some of which are completely made up. I think a few of them might have even accidentally argued for their opponents case.

  2. It is pretty amazing just how much some politicians can talk without actually saying anything. In some cases, the string of empty platitudes, catchphrases and question-ducking becomes so intense, the information content is actually negative; I suspect I know slightly less after hearing it than I did before. I’d prefer outright lies, which can at least be debunked. Arguing with utter blather is like trying to punch smoke.
