I LOVE Millie’s mom. She’ll train her daughter to be a proper lawyer yet! (or a proper princess space ninja cyborg, I’m not ruling out this possibility)
It’s a bit of a double-edged sword. On the one hand, raising such a child can often lead to exasperating, frustrating, and horribly embarrassing — not to mention, often expensive — moments. On the other hand, it is very hard not to feel incredibly proud that your own progeny managed to figure out how to get you into that mess in the first place!
One minor problem that I’ve always had with this one:
The strand of hair falling across Millie’s eye in the last panel looks, at first glance, like an eyebrow and makes her appear angry rather than surprised.

Hair! Thank you for clearing that up.
If it wasn’t for the eyebrow showing through that lock of hair, but the edge of her eye -not-, this would be a lot more obvious. 😉
Aren’t *all* opposing attorneys pootyheads?
