You’ve had summer vacation five or six times since you were eight. How in the heck are you still ten!?
Same reason that the Peanut’s kids are still little kids despite being that age in 1950 when the comic started…
Comic immortality.
Zen aging.
Its clearly a Dragon conspiracy
Timulty was four when she was eight, and now he’s four when she is ten. Go figure that one out.
There’s a lot of cells that don’t replace themselves, neurons for instance.
Still though, much of the material in the cells is replaced over time. I suppose the one thing not replaced is the DNA in those brain cells that form genes that are suppressed, as the more accessible parts of the DNA are slowly replaced when breaks happen and are repaired.
DNA cannot break down- the cell needs it to tell it what to do. Cells with altered DNA do things like become cancer or simply die (and stem cells replace them)
actually, neurons can replace themselves, including brain cells, they’ve discovered
Every cell that CAN replace itelf.
Darn you Millie! I’m going to be up all night thinking about this…
The ancients believed you got a new soul every seven years. That’s why breaking a mirror (with your reflection soul) brings seven years bad luck.
Not even close…. Despite changing your cells every seven years, the cells that are replaced are still within your body.
I thought she was eight! (I’m almost twelve. Maybe I’m about her age now.)
