If I were any character in this comic, I would be Llewellyn. We share every single one of the same habits, including a tendency to give strange anecdotal advice to children (though I am a woman and my music students are teenagers)
For example, while reading through these archives, I am simultaneously power-drilling tiny holes in pistachio shells so I can string them and make a toy for my parrot.
I think that I would like you. While reading through these archives, I am simultaneously knitting a tiny toy owl that I intend to give ginormous eyes, then promptly throw at someone.
probably the proximity of cats who like to pounce on things. I knit too slowly to let my dog, who loves fetch and needs the black Kongs because she’s such a strong chewer, near the things I create
I did make bird toys (when I had them, sigh) and have sewn dog toys… I just take too long to knit!
As a guy also trying to fill empty time, I want to do this now. 🙂
When I’m bored, I watch the lines move in Windows disk defragmenter. Too geeky? Even more fun was watching Win98SE defrag details: all the pretty colored rectangles move and change color. Ah, the good old days!
