Is it just me, or does Millie get slowly wider throughout the time progression of this comic strip? I know she’s wearing clothing and Ozy isn’t, but she really should not be twice as wide as he is, regardless, unless she has a serious childhood weight problem, and since the author never touches that topic I would assume it is accidental. At least the comic is, by this point, finally out of the “superbly tall cardboard ears” phase
I went back through the archives and checked. They’ve always been about the same height. If anything, Ozy’s gotten roughly an inch taller, and she hasn’t changed.
I think Millie just wears really baggy clothes. She’s about the same wideness as Ozy when she’s seen without them. (Which happens uncomfortably often, yet still manages to qualify as not too frequent.)
Let’s not forget winter is starting to show, so Millie might be gradually getting her winter coat where as Ozy’s winter coat just suddenly grown on him.

She’s starting to match Ozy’s height too.

Perhaps she has a normal home life, while Ozy occasionally chooses to zen-eat, and thus is skinnier than Millie.

Shame on you, Dana! The proper term is “water key”!
But very few would get the joke. And it wouldn’t be as funny!
