Eeyup I understand where she’s coming from. I don’t necessarily mind negative reviews but sometimes the critics come across as just plain cruel, or stupid like when they talk about a movie specifically made for a young audience as if it should meet the same criteria as a deeply philosophical play on Broadway.
Even then, being deeply philosophical doesn’t mean the movie is good anyway. These are two vastly different metrics that have nothing to do with each other. Even dumber is critics that hate on pop culture that actually carries deep messages for those who can see them with excuses like “it’s already been done before, that’s recycled trash for stupid plebs”. It’s misplaced elitism.
Makes me wonder what her favorite movie could be.
