Actually there’s a flashback later on in the comic to her youth. It says 30 years ago, so she can’t be in her twenties. Based on the subject of the strip, she was about as old as Millie at the time, so she must be closer to 40 than to 30
But it also said she was twenty something when she met Millies father. The strip you mentioned also showed Millie five years ago and she still looked ten, (her given age at the time) so you kind of have to assume it was purely representational.
That would be a loss of perfectly good coffee. Have Millie pull weeds in the yard, then she’ll quickly learn to never complain about being bored again.
“Reagan was worse”… Millie’s mom shows her age there…
Given that this strip was published in 1999, her mom could very well be in her late twenties.

my parents would have given me work to do, I backed out of it by pointing out that it would make me even more bored.
millie, you are treading on thin ice there. Watch your step. Otherwise, you new persona may be Warm-Coffee-Coated-Girl.
Well, Millie’s mom is a single mother, which is one of the most stressful occupations possible.
Pour the coffee.

It’s also not the best idea to pull your Mother’s tail to get her attention!
