  1. There’s always someone with a better life then mine, so is it completely wrong for me to be happy about anything?

  2. I feel for Millie, I am getting to the point where I’m just going through the motions, I’m a dreamer, but without any drive to actually change anything, therefore why do I even bother complaining? By the common conventions of our society I am not, and will never be successful.

    • Put into the context of when you wrote this, your despair is commonplace! But you should be measuring your “success” against your own expectations, not relative to what you perceive the conventions of your society to be. If you are content with yourself, great! If you’re not, do something about your situation. Learn something, join something, read a lot — the web is your oyster.
