The original artwork for this comic is available for purchase.
Notes: White-out correction in panel 4. Note penciled in the upper margin: “METERED ON-RAMPS ON 16.” (Probably an idea for an editorial cartoon for the Tacoma News-Tribune, a paper Dana was freelancing for at the time.)
Will anyone ever read this comment?
Yes.
Double that!
No ones reading your comment they’re sensing it with the force
People are not just reading the comment, they are *experiencing* it. They are savoring the questions that it raises, the hope that one is not alone in experiencing the comment, the fear that it is true, and the tantalizing optimism of an awesome reply.
Well, if you take “Anonymouse” and delete the m, u, s and one o, and then slightly rearrange the rest then, yes “Anyone” will read your comment. 🙂
Or someone can just become anyone.
No, because life is not real. Nobody reallyexists, and therefore, nether does your comment nor the people here who said they read it.
I exist! It’s all the rest of you who are just voices in my head!
I didn’t read your comment, I’m just mindlessly replying to what I believe it says based on the other replies. Sorry to disappoint.
I might never read this Comment
Yes. This is just like posting to misc.test, isn’t it? I suppose that, in a way, we just want to be sure that the world isn’t artificially made for our benefit, but, then again, all these replies could just be the world reacting in its own way to your attempted confirmation of our existence. In the end, you just have to accept that some things may never be known, so we might as well act as if the world we think we experience is real.
I like turtles.
Thanks! BTW, yes, I read the comment.
WHAT comment?
This one. How did you already reply???
Nice Jacob avatar. http://www.precociouscomic.com/
Was there a comment somewhere? Am I replying to it? The world may never know.
Comments, and their replies, are fleeting. But cool. (no matter how long they’ve been up).
the real question is whether or not anyone will read this comment
Everyone who hasn’t yet gone to gocomics reply! I need friends!
I’m still here! The comments here are the best.
Yes.
We live… Yet we don’t live. We sense things with a psychic power we call our sixth sense ; yet some of us know of our own telepathy. We could all be the dream of someone else – or the dream of one likewise to us; you could be in a dream dreamt by you yourself – yetno. We are who we are, live in the right dimension – the dimension relative to us. None other. One can learn the meaning of life simply from a question posed by another.
In a few months? I suspect in a few days.
Or hours.
Or even years! A good question has a *long* lifetime. (The inverse statement is false.)
