  1. Well his dad is quite a bit older than her mom.
Though that still might not be a good reason to take him seriously.

    • Usually just the opposite, in fact; I’ve noticed that, as I age, the temptation to see just how big a whopper I can make some credulous youth swallow grows greater and more frequent with each passing year.

I thank my own mentors for this.

  2. You’re always saying how things were so much better back in your day, well you should consider yourself lucky, because back in my day, everything sucked. I’m glad things changed the way they did.

  3. Millie’s Mom is right. When I was a kid (50+ years ago) you could look up at the sky and see thousands of stars. Today, on a clear night, maybe 5% of that.

  4. Ha! My city has laws against light pollution. I get to see the stars! (Although Halloween does get pretty intense, since there’s no street lamps)

    • That was me before a teacher noticed that I had seeing trouble and had the whole class tested. I’d learned to walk without being able to see the ground ahead of me! (I was 8 when I got glasses.) I’d thought stars were a myth, like Santa Claus, despite growing up in a very dark-sky area.
