Who gets coffee beans delivered to their mailbox?
then, probably samples. Today, Amazon does groceries (at least non-perishable) and in metro areas you can order your entire grocery list online (and I haven’t checked Amazon recently for food availabilities)
I don’t think the coffee had anything to do with the mailboxes. Millie just spiked the coffee for the Association meeting. Her mother guessed this from the urgent “gotta go” in the first panel. The bit about the mailboxes is just a jab at how petty and controlling HOAs can be. (Although real life HOAs usually have the power to hand out punishments well beyond “severe nagging”.) This pettiness is why Millie felt she had a good reason for her stunt. (Sorry if I just spoiled a perfectly good joke by over-explaining.)
