So I wasn’t the only kid that made his blocks say obscure words! Yay!
it says yang…
Wait. Yang? As in Yang the Nauseating? Is Ozy secretly a ninja of the Great Dark Horde?
Yang as in Yin and Yang, the Zen Buddhist concept.
I’m wondering about the sign with the biblical cite in the first panel (John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”). What could it mean?
It is simply a small manner of their opinion, and they happened to be protesting at a house across the street.
To quote wikipedia:
“Some people (such as the Rainbow Man) display the reference in large letters at sporting events, seeking the attention of fellow fans, the staff controlling the venue’s giant video screens and, if the game is televised, the television audience.”
They do it because they hope viewers will become curious, look up the biblical reference, and become converted to Christianity.
Protests, or just big crowds, tend to attract all sorts, including people who just see it as a chance to get a little attention for their pet cause. In this case, the cause is presumably Christian evangelism.
The goo is in the lava lamp baby Ozy.
And not in the ice-cream sundae in the picture?
