  1. The phrase “cheese eating surrender monkey” Has been floating around my brain for a while, glad I found where I first heard it.

  2. Part of chasing waves is diving through them or taking them full on and seeing which one prevails. Running away from a wave is the silliest thing I’ve ever heard of.

    • It’s also fun to use them as a trampoline to launch yourself out of water and enjoy the fleeting sensation of flying as they pass from under you, only to then use the momentum of the fall to dive under the next one.

  3. Ah, yes, would you believe centuries ago people were actually afraid of the French? Also if they, “never actually won a war” they wouldn’t have been there much less had an empire.
