Aw – he’s cute! This reminds me (in a good way) of the chapter 5 reveal in Clarke’s ‘Childhood’s End 😉
I wonder when the dragon will come out of Ozy, maybe in puberty.
His shadow looked kinda fat in previous strips, he looks nice tough.
1) @ Night-Gaunt: Ozy is adopted.
2) I find the last panel so cute. All kids should come with tails their parents can grab hold of.
All parents should come with tails for their kids to ride on.
I like Mom’s expression in that last panel.
I took a second look at Mom’s expression and, to me anyway, it looks like she already knew about Ozy’s father, possibly having represented him at the adoption.
The two families live close enough so that Ozy and Millie play together outside of school time; not unheard of for adults to know their neighbors! NB: In the very first strip, Ozy is entering a new school, implying that he’s just moved nearby.
In re your second statement, I was thinking the same thing. That caused the biggest laugh for me.
I’ve often wondered if Llewellyn was modeled, at least in part, on the dragon that appears on the Welsh Flag.
What makes you think it’s not the other way around?
Especially with a Welsh name, I’d believe it
For the record, even Dana doesnt know what Ozys comment means.
Interesting idea, taking kids to work/PTA/whatever. My Dad took me to work once at Vlchek Tool. Put a penny on a press and smashed it. It came out the size of a tea cup, thin as a razor blade and with a sunburst pattern on each side.
i always imagined ozy’s dad as a golden color and i’m kinda disappointed to see he’s red
Ah Lewellen, my favorite dragon in this strip (well, Isold is close)
