I love this series, but really… what little kid says “Goodness?” anymore.
Oh well, it’s your world so they can talk however you want : )
Wait… I just realized? Are they in public school or high school?
This comic takes place in the nineties, so go figure 😛
1. They’re in elementary school.
2. I said “goodness” when I was little (late ’90s to early 2000s). It’s good to see kids in fiction with expanded vocabularies.
His saying “Goodness” makes a lot more sense if you consider that he’s been raised by Llewellyn, who tends to speak in old dialect like that. 🙂
And frankly, it kinda fits his character anyway…
And this strip was originally drawn in 1998.
And just imagine the deliberately deadpan tone of voice.
Actually, I talked a little like that as a kid in the 60s.
Family isnt about where you came from, its the people who raised you that make you who you are.
It’s absolutely adorable how Ozzy is not only holding his dad’s hand but also sitting on his tail. They are obviously close 🙂
