One child, anyway. A little girl named Katy, in Massachussetts. And she really nailed it. Read about it here!   […]

Did you catch the reveal of Max’s parents in this week’s strips? I’ve actually known all along that Max has lesbian parents. I’ve been waiting for years for it to come up organically. • School Library Journal June 28, 2017
SLJ’s Brigid Alverson interviewed me for a great article about LGBTQ representation in comics. I’m quoted in the article, but I said a lot more, and apparently it was interesting enough that she also published the whole interview. Read more →

180 days? That’s like only four months. I thought sloths were supposed to do everything in extreme slow motion.

Apparently you failed you knowledge check. 180 days divided by 30 days per month=6 months.

That’s still shorter then a human pregnancy, which was the whole point of my original post. A sloth has no business doing something that quickly.

most animals smaller than us have shorter gestation times. And sloths are quite small in comparison, so actually I’m surprised it’s 6 months

Right. Cats gestate for 66 days, elephants for 22 months. Red foxes gestate for about 49-55 days. No one knows how long a Southwest Grey zen fox gestates for.
